Latin: Heuchera americana
English: American alumroot
French: Heuchère d’Amérique
Description
A mounding plant that thrives in dry, part shade and blooms in September and October. Despite their small size, their blooms are very attractive to pollinators and bumblebees dangling from their bouncing stems, feeding upside-down, are a common sight.
Pairs beautifully with Heart-leaved Aster and Zigzag Goldenrod for a late season show in dry, part shade. (They will also thrive in sunnier settings, with sufficient moisture).
